Ingredients:

500g salmon (cut into serving pieces)

6 cups water

1 tomato, quartered

1 onion, quartered
-
1 cup radish (labanos), sliced

1 cup eggplant, sliced

1 cup kangkong leaves
-
1 cup string beans (sitaw), cut into 2-inch pieces

1 pack Knorr Sinigang sa Sampalok Mix

2 green chilies (optional)
-
2 tbsp fish sauce (patis)
Instructions:

Boil the base:
In a large pot, pour 6 cups of water. Add the quartered onion and tomato. Bring to a boil for about 5 minutes to release their flavors. -
Add vegetables:
Add the radish and string beans. Let it simmer for 5 minutes or until slightly tender. -
Season:
Pour in the 2 tablespoons of fish sauce. Stir gently. -
Add salmon:
Carefully add the salmon pieces. Let it simmer for about 5 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked (be careful not to overcook para hindi madurog). -
Add more veggies:
Add the eggplant slices and green chilies (if using). Simmer for another 3 minutes. -
Sour it up:
Stir in the Knorr Sinigang Sampalok Mix. Adjust to your preferred sourness (pwede mo bawasan kung gusto mo medyo mild). -
Final touch:
Add the kangkong leaves. Let it cook for 1-2 minutes until the leaves are wilted. -
Serve:
Serve hot with steamed rice. Enjoy!
